We have BIG news!
We are in the process of trying to adopt for the second time.
Our dream has always been to have a family of four, and we would love to give our sweet Tyler a little brother or sister and complete our family.
We are working with the same adoption agency that we did with our first, so our future son or daughter will be born in the DFW area.
Adoptions cost upwards of $30,000 so we are trying to raise as much of that as possible.
We could not do this without the incredible support of our family and friends. Thank you so much for helping our dream come true!

The next step will be a home study and then the official wait begins to get matched!

You would think it would be easier the second time, but it definitely was not. The last time we did this we were on summer vacation and no toddler to distract us! 😂
In all seriousness, I’m feeling all the anxiety that I didn’t think I would have this time. Are we still good enough? Our bank account doesn’t look at strong as it did (thanks $100000 eggs/groceries/gas!) Am I being selfish for wanting another child? Are they going to think our house is too small? And on and on it goes.
All I can do is trust in God and know whatever the outcome, it was his plan all along.

We have been blown away by everyone’s generosity. Thank you so much for helping us bring baby # 2 home!
Right now we are still working on the application. It’s about 95% complete and with marching season FINALLY over we can really focus on getting it done!
We were hopeful that we wouldn’t have to complete a course that we already did the first time we adopted, but it was recently confirmed that we DO have to go through it again..unfortunately it isn’t scheduled until January..while that slows us down a bit, we admit to being happy to breathe a little and make sure we have everything completely ready by then.
After we complete the course, things with the home study should be pretty quick. Then we hurry up and wait to be matched!
