We have BIG news!

We are adopting again! We have made the decision to add one more little being to our family, making Lux a big sister, and completing our family! So many of you came alongside us as we navigated the journey to Lux in 2021. It was a long winding road to become parents. Each day we wake up so grateful and blessed that we get to walk into Lux’s room each morning and hear her little voice tell us good morning. It truly has been a dream come true and she is the light of our lives. We have always known we wanted to grow our family. When Lux was 5 months old, after several years of infertility, I became pregnant and sadly experienced a miscarriage following a second miscarriage this past May. We have never given up the hope and perseverance of growing our family. We know how amazing adoption is, now experiencing it, we know in our hearts that we have one more journey to take and it is to the baby we know is waiting for us. We are doing everything we can to financially fund this adoption, however, it is incredibly expensive and we need all the help we can get one more time. The adoption costs are now $45,000 + and as much as we wish this was not the case, we know if this is what we have to do, we will find a way. No words would ever be enough to adequately express our gratitude to each person who has taken the time to support us during our first adoption, and again for this next chapter to the second. There is not a day that we don’t talk about the support we have had and the contributions, love and overall rallying together for us and it has been beyond our wildest dreams.

    Baby Banks is home

    March 12, 2025

    After a whirlwind of a week from our original adoption falling through and getting a call the same week that our sweet baby boy was born and had to drive straight to the hospital. We welcomed Banks Leroy Douglas into our family. Born 3/6/2025

    Hello all!
    We again cannot thank you all enough for your contribution, love and support. We are SO excited to share that we have been matched with a birth mother, and baby is due is May! We know from here to that moment will be an emotional rollercoaster and lots can change but we are feeling hopeful and cultivating a relationship with birth mom!
